Mr. Donalds Farm was started in 2021. This is Donald and Daffy. Farm visits welcome! For a list of our events its best to follow us on FB/IG @MrDonaldsFarm.
We started our farm in Norwalk, CT which we out grew very quickly to over 8 ducks and 16 chickens. We were fortunate to find our new home in Orange, CT 2022. We now have so many farm animals we lost count. Most of our farm animals were rescue animals.
It's a perfect outdoor adventure where toddlers and kids come together and can learn, play, and make lasting memories.
Don’t miss out on this farm-tastic fun!
All of our animals are our pets.
All of our flock free range and produce fresh eggs daily. Our egg shells are green, blue, dark green, white, light and dark brown - a nice colorful assortment.
Did you know that ducks feathers are waterproof and not all ducks quack some whistle.
Fun fact about chickens, they dream like humans and can recognize up to 100 different faces of other chickens and even humans!
Turkeys blush and flirt when they get excited, stressed, or agitated, the skin on its head and neck can change color, turning red, white, or blue depending on its mood.
We have a bunnies and guinea pigs display in our barnyard recess area. Kids love to watch them play.
Both guinea pigs and rabbits have their own unique and playful ways of showing joy!
They also will leap into the air, twist their bodies, and kick their feet out in a behavior known as "binkying" when they’re extremely happy.
Guinea pigs are very social animals and thrive when they have a other guinea pigs to play with.
Rabbits have 360 vision to protect them from predators and can run up to 35 miles per hour.
We have sheep, alpaca, and goats. Spring time we have baby goats.
Did you know that Alpacas hum to express a wide range of emotions, from curiosity to contentment. It's their primary form of vocal communication! They also spit at each other (and sometimes at humans) to establish dominance or when they're annoyed.
Sheep can recognize up to 50 different faces (both sheep and human) and remember them for years! Each sheep has a unique bleat, and lambs can identify their mother’s call from a distance.
Goats love to play! They will jump, headbutt, and climb all over objects (and sometimes people) when they’re feeling energetic.
These are our Peacocks. Here is a fun fact about peacocks is that only the males are actually called "peacocks"!
The females are called "peahens," and together they are known as "peafowl."
Males are famous for their stunning, iridescent tail feathers, which they fan out in a dazzling display to attract mates.
Despite this, peacocks don't grow their full, colorful plumage until they're about three years old!
Our barnyard recess area is full of fun activities, toddler and kid friendly nestled inside our farm area.
We offer events, parties, mommy and me days and more. We have sunday fundays, our holiday season is especially a great time to visit.
Bring your little adventurers out for a day of excitement at the farm! Kids will love exploring the barnyard play area, meeting all our friendly animals like goats, chickens, and rabbits.
